Low Fat Recipe

Yum Yum Cake is a chocolatey delicious yum yum cake that uses fat free milk and requires no eggs.

Yum Yum Cake


1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2-teaspoon salt
1/4 cup oil
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup fat free milk

Recipe Directions

Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt in greased 8 or 9-inch square baking pan. Make two holes in the dry ingredients. Pour oil into one hole, the vinegar and vanilla into the other. Pour the milk over all and mix until well blended and smooth.

Bake at 350-degrees until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean (about 30 minutes). Cool in pan on wire rack. Spread with chocolate glaze.

Chocolate Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 to 2 tablespoons fat-free milk

Combine powdered sugar and cocoa in a small bowl; stir in vanilla and enough milk to make glaze consistency.
