Low Fat Recipe
Alpine Muesli with grapes consists of rolled oats with ground cinnamon, raisins, skim milk and walnuts.
What is muesli?
Muesli is a healthful blend of oats, other whole grains, nuts, seeds, and dried fruits. Muesli is raw and unprocessed while granola is typically toasted with honey and oil, resulting in a crunchy texture.
2 cups rolled oats
Ground cinnamon to taste
1/2 cup raisins
1 cup skim milk
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup seedless red grapes
1 cup seedless green grapes
Place the oats, cinnamon and raisins in a bowl. Add the milk. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Stir in the nuts and grapes when ready to serve.
Make it Seasonal
Substitute 1 cup of chopped dried fruit for the red and green grapes at Christmas time, or try dried apricots, cranberries or cherries for Valentine's Day.
