Low Carb Recipe
Orange creamsicles make a great low carb sugar-free treat. Freeze in individual cups so you'll have dessert whenever you want it, while staying on your low carb diet.
2 small boxes Sugar Free Orange Jell-O
1 cup heavy cream
2 cups boiling water
1 cup crushed ice
Add 2-cups boiling water to Jell-O and mix well untill completely disolved.
Add crushed ice and stir until ice is melted and mixture is cooled.
Add cream and mix well, into individual cups or freezer-pop molds and chill until firm.
- For an elegant look, garnish with orange rind and shaved dark low carb chocolate.
- You can also make these in freezer pop molds for a dessert much like the original.
Recipe makes 8 servings.
Variation: Tropical Orange Creamsicle
Tangy sweet tropical orange creamsicle treat with a tropical flair via the addition of canned lite coconut milk.
8 ounces unsweetened canned lite coconut milk
5 ice cubes
1/2 cup very cold heavy cream
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
3 tablespoons DaVinci vanilla syrup
1/2 teaspoon Sugar free Tang or Orange Juice
Mix coconut milk, ice cubes and heavy cream in blender until ice is crushed well. Add remainder of ingredients and enjoy this tropical creamy treat!
