Poison Apple Candy
Poison Apple Candy is actually candied apples but the outer candied part has a poison black tint for a ghoulish touch.
4 apples, cleaned
4 wooden sticks
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon honey
2 tablespoons black jell paste food coloring
Insert wooden sticks into each apple and place into platter.
In a saucepan add sugar with water and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Now add corn syrup and stir continually for 1 minute.
Turn off heat and add food color, mix well. Let to cool a little.
Dip apples in this mixture and place into serving platter.
