Moroccan Mint Tea

If you've experienced Moroccan mint tea, you know that it is highly scented with mint and very sweet. This recipe keeps the uplifting flavor but tones down the sugar. The tea looks beautiful served in patterned tea glasses.
3 teaspoons green tea leaves
1/3 cup firmly packed fresh mint leaves
1-1/2 tablespoon sugar
Extra fresh mint leaves
Place the tea leaves in a large warmed teapot or plunger pot and add 4 cups boiling water. Cover and steep for 2 minutes. Stir in mint leaves and sugar, cover and steep for a further 4 minutes.
Place one or two mint leaves in each serving glass. Strain tea into glasses and serve hot.
Yield: 2 servings
- Tea best made just before serving.
