Blushing Hot Spiced Cider
The blush in this fantastic Blushing Hot Spiced Cider comes from cranberry juice cocktail. Spiced with cloves, allspice berries and cinnamon. Delicious! This beverage will keep your insides warm all fall and winter long.
1 quart apple cider
6 whole cloves
6 whole allspice berries
1 cup low calorie cranberry juice cocktail
3 sticks of cinnamon
3 tablespoons measurable sweetener
6 orange slices, at room temperature
In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients except the orange slices. Heat to a simmer; reduce heat and simmer 20 more minutes. Cool one hour.
Remove spices. Place orange slices in serving cups. Strain cider into cups. Serve hot.

Mulled Rosy Cider
A deliciously warm and inviting cider with apple juice, grenadine, cloves, cardamom and cinnamon. Lemon and orange zests add a citrus flair.
4 cups cider or unfiltered apple juice
2 tablespoons grenadine (a syrup made from pomegranate juice, usually found in the liquor section of larger markets)
4 pods cardamom, slightly crushed
1 4-inch cinnamon stick cut in 2-inch pieces
Fresh lemon zest, cut in 2-inch strips
Fresh orange zest, cut in 2-inch strips
In a medium saucepan, combine the apple cider with the grenadine, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, lemon and orange zest. Heat the cider until small bubbles appear around the edges of the liquid. Reduce the heat, keeping the cider warm enough so that steam rises from the surface. Hold it at this point for 20 minutes.
Remove the spices and zest from the pan. Pour the cider into clear punch cups or mugs and serve.

Spicy Berry Cider
Spicy Berry Cider uses apple cider or juice with pineapple juice, fresh or frozen raspberries, spiced with allspice, nutmeg and cloves and sweetened with sugar subsitute of your choice.
4 cups apple cider or apple juice
1 18-ounce can unsweetened pineapple juice
2 cups fresh raspberries or 2-cups frozen slightly sweetened raspberries
1 teaspoon whole allspice
1 teaspoon whole cloves
1 whole nutmeg
4 packets sweetener or 1-1/4 teaspoons measurable sweetener of choice
In a large saucepan combine apple cider or juice, pineapple juice, berries and spices; slowly bring mixture to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 20 minutes. Remove from heat; strain to remove seeds. Stir in sweetener. Serve in mugs. Garnish each serving with a cinnamon stick, if desired.
