Blushing Hot Spiced Cider
You can never go wrong with sweet fruit and a berry frappe is a great way to get those fruits. Fruits are mixed with yogurt and carbonated soda and water. Just whip them up in your blender and enjoy!
Ingredients
3 cups frozen loose-pack raspberries, blueberries or strawberries
1 can (12 ounces) carbonated creme soda
1 carton (8 ounces) carton plain yogurt
1/2 of a 6 ounce can (1/3 cup) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups carbonated water, chilled
Directions
In a blender container place half of the berries, soda, yogurt, frozen concentrate, and sugar. Cover; blend until berries are pureed and sugar is dissolved. Pour into a 13x9x2 inch pan.
Repeat with remaining ingredients except carbonated water; pour into pan. Cover; freeze 3 hours or until firm. Use a fork to break up frozen mixture.
In blender container place half of mixture and 1 cup carbonated water. Cover; blend until frothy. Pour into chilled glasses. Repeat with remaining mixture and carbonated water.
Variation: Apricot Berry Frappe
2 cups orange juice
1 cup ice
1/2 cup frozen strawberries or raspberries
1/2 cup canned apricots, drained
1/2 cup fat-free plain yogurt
2 tablespoons wheatgerm
4 packets artificial sweetener
In a blender, mix all ingredients for a refreshing treat that everyone will love.
