Diabetic Friendly Frostings
We have four Diabetic Friendly Frosting especially made for the diabetic diet. So go ahead and frost a piece of cake guilt free! We have sugar free, diabetic, chocolate and chocolate cream cheese.
1-1/2 cup light or fat free cream cheese
1-1/2 tablespoons soft butter or margarine
16 packets sweetener
2 teaspoons vanilla
Beat all ingredients together until smooth; thin with 1 to 2-tablespoons of 1 percent milk if needed. Frosts two, 9-inch round cake layers or two-dozen cup cakes.
Sugar Free Frosting
1 (1.4 ounce) package sugar-free instant pudding mix
1-3/4 cups milk
1 (8 ounce) package fat free cream cheese
1 (8 ounce) container lite or fat free frozen whipped topping, thawed
In a medium bowl, combine pudding mix and milk. Mix well and let stand until thickened. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add pudding and mix well. Finally, fold in whipped topping.
1 envelope Dream whip
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup milk
1 package Sugarfree chocolate pudding (2 ounces)
Blend together skim milk, vanilla, and dream whip (or sugarfree whipped topping mix). Beat til stiff. Add pudding mix and continue to beat til light and fluffy. Add more milk if too thick. Exchange: 1/2 Fat
Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting
2 packages (8 ounces each) fat-free cream cheese, at room temperature
24 packets sweetener or 1-cup measurable sweetener
2 to 3 tablespoons skim milk
1/2 cup European or Dutch-process cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla
Beat cream cheese, sweetener and 1-tablespoon milk in small bowl until fluffy. Beat in cocoa, vanilla and enough remaining milk to make spreading consistency. Makes about 2 cups (enough to frost 2-layer cake).
