A mixture of onion and garlic, pepper, mushrooms, carrot, parsley, tofu, tamari and tomato sauce stuffed into pita bread pockets.
Recipe Ingredients
1 small onion, chopped
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
3 large mushrooms, chopped
1 large carrot, grated
1/2 tablespoon chopped parsley
1/2 pound tofu, crumbled
2 teaspoons tamari
3 tablespoons tomato sauce
Recipe Directions
Set oven control to broil.
Saute onion and garlic in oil till transluscent. Add pepper, mushrooms, carrot and parsley.
Stir fry briefly and add tofu, tamari and tomato sauce. Cook until well heated through.
Stuff into pita bread pockets and serve.
