Mock Barbeque Beef
Quick and easy to put together while your crock pot does the work! Textured vegetable protein chunks with barbecue sauce and water is all you need.
3 cups textured vegetable protein, chunks
2 large bottles Light Barbecue Sauce
1-1/2 cups water, heated to boiling
In large crock pot put 3 cups textured vegetable protein.
Rehydrate the textured vegetable protein with 1/2 cup barbecue sauce and 1-1/2 cups hot water. Let sit for 15 minutes.
Add the remaining barbecue sauce. Cook on low heat 5 to 6 hours.
Serve on low fat whole grain buns.
