Mock Barbeque Beef

Quick and easy to put together while your crock pot does the work! Textured vegetable protein chunks with barbecue sauce and water is all you need.

Recipe Ingredients

3 cups textured vegetable protein, chunks
2 large bottles Light Barbecue Sauce#
1-1/2 cups water, heated to boiling

Recipe Directions

textured vegetable protein In large crock pot put 3 cups textured vegetable protein.

Rehydrate the textured vegetable protein with 1/2 cup barbecue sauce and 1-1/2 cups hot water. Let sit for 15 minutes.

Add the remaining barbecue sauce. Cook on low heat 5 to 6 hours.

Serve on low fat whole grain buns.

Recipe makes 12 servings Mock Barbecue Beef.
