Mock Barbeque Beef Vegetarian Recipe
Ingredients:
3 cups textured vegetable protein, chunks
2 large bottles barbecue sauce, fat-free
1 1/2 cups water, heated to boiling
Recipe makes 12 servings Mock Barbecue Beef.

Directions:
In large crock pot put 3 cups textured vegetable protein. Rehydrate the textured vegetable protein with 1/2 cup barbecue sauce and 1-1/2 cups hot water. Let sit for 15 minutes. Add the remaining barbecue sauce. Cook on low 5 to 6 hours.
Serve on low fat whole grain buns.

Vegetarian Fact
In baked goods, try commercial egg replacers -- a dry product made mostly of potato starch. Or you can use the following to replace one egg: One-quarter cup whipped tofu or 1 tablespoon minced flaxseed mixed with 3 tablespoons of water. For an egg-free omelet try using tofu instead of eggs.
