Spanish Rice Recipe Rumble
Ingredients:
One medium onion, chopped
One small green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 cup uncooked rice
2-1/2 cups water
3/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
One (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat for one to two minutes. Cook onion and uncooked rice in the oil for five minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in the bell pepper, water, chili powder, garlic powder, tomato sauce and salt and pepper to taste. Heat to boiling over high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat, cover and cook about 25 minutes or until rice is tender and tomato sauce is absorbed.
Recipe makes six servings.
