Fresh Fruit Salad with Citrus Sauce Recipe Rumble
Fresh fruit is one of the healthiest food you can indulge in. This easy make-ahead salad features a spectacular combination of seven different kinds of fruit.
Ingredients:
1/3 cup sugar
3 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons lemon or lime juice
1 tablespoon orange juice
1 medium peach, peeled, pitted, and sliced (1 cup)
1 medium nectarine, pitted and sliced (1 cup)
1/2 cup honeydew melon chunks
1/2 cup fresh pineapple chunks
1/2 cup blueberries
1 medium banana, sliced
1/2 cup sliced strawberries

Directions:
In a small saucepan, heat and stir sugar, water, lemon juice, and orange juice over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat; chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour or until completely chilled.
In a large bowl, combine peach slices, nectarine slices, honeydew chunks, pineapple chunks, and blueberries. Pour chilled juice mixture over fruit; stir gently. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour or up to four hours. To serve, stir in banana and strawberries.
Recipe makes four side-dish servings.
