Steakhouse Onion Beef and Pepper Stir-Fry
Ingredients:
1 pound boneless beef sirloin steak, 3/4-inch thick
3 tablespoons cornstarch
One can (14 ounces) seasoned beef broth with onion
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups fresh or frozen green or red pepper strips
4 cups hot cooked rice, cooked without salt
Directions:
Slice beef into very thin strips.
Mix cornstarch, broth, soy and garlic.
Stir-fry beef in nonstick skillet until browned and juices evaporate.
Add peppers. Add cornstarch mixture. Cook and stir until mixture boils and thickens.
Serve over rice.
Recipe makes four servings.
Notes:
For Extra Flavorful Rice: Cook rice in beef broth instead of water. No need to add salt or butter.
