Cinnamon Walnut Turtles

Paleolithic Recipe

By

A tasty and healthful treat from mother nature. Various spices and nuts can be substituted. Can add coconut and dried fruits.

Recipe Ingredients

2 cups walnuts
1 cup raw honey
1/2 cup cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla

Cinnamon

Recipe Directions

In a large bowl, mix honey, cinnamon and vanilla into paste. Stir in walnuts until thoughly coated.

Form into small clusters and dehydrate at least 24 hours.

Dehydrating

Drying removes the moisture from the food so bacteria, yeast and mold cannot grow and spoil the food. Drying also slows down the action of enzymes (naturally occurring substances which cause foods to ripen), but does not inactivate them.

Four Ways To Dehydrate Food

  • Using a Food Dehydrator#
  • in an oven
  • by the sun itself
  • or with the use of a solar dehydrating unit
