Apple Based Mulled Cider

Paleolithic Raw Food Recipe

Delicious Apple Based Mulled Cider made with tangy orange and lemon along with maple syrup or honey, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and ginger.

Apple Based Mulled Cider


2 quarts apple cider or juice
1 orange, sliced
1 lemon, sliced
2 tablespoons maple syrup or raw honey
4 sticks cinnamon
6 whole cloves
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon powdered ginger

Recipe Directions

In large saucepan, combine all of the ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low, and simmer the cider for 30 to 40 minutes. Strain and serve hot.

Recipe Notes

Note: Raw honey is the healthiest choice amongst the various forms of honey as it has the most nutritional value. Pure maple syrup is a 100 percent natural food, processed by heat concentration of pure maple sap.
