Very Berry Cranberry Sauce with fresh cranberries and frozen strawberries plus Grand Marnier or orange juice - your preference and crunchy walnuts.

Very Berry Cranberry Sauce


1/2 pound fresh cranberries, rinsed and drained
7 ounces whole itemprop="name">frozen strawberries, thawed
2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons sugar
1-3/4 tablespoons Grand Marnier or orange juice
2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons orange juice
1-3/4 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons orange peel, grated
1/4 cup walnut pieces

Recipe Directions

Combine all ingredients in a large Dutch oven and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer 10 to 15 minutes until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally to crush berries. Remove from heat. Let cool briefly. Cover and chill. Stir in walnut pieces before serving.
