Pear and Apple Saute
Low Salt/Sodium Recipe

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons unsalted butter or margarine
Two Jonathan apples, cored and cut into 1/4-inch slices
Four Bosc pears, cored and cut into 3/4-inch slices
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest, finely grated
1/8 teaspoon salt optional
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions:
Melt butter in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Saute apples two minutes, stirring frequently. Add pears and saute another two minutes. Sprinkle with remaining ingredients and saute another two to three minutes or until apples and pears are tender. Recipe makes 6 low salt/low sodium servings.
