Orange and Cider Sauce
Low Sodium Recipe
Tangy citrus sauce made with cider, orange zest and oranges, lemon, sugar, white wine vinegar and cornstarch for thickening. Serve with slices of roast pork.
1/4 cup dry cider
1 tablespoon orange zest, grated
2 oranges, juiced
1 lemon, juiced
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon cornstarch
Blend all the ingredients together in a saucepan. Heat gently, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens. Serve with slices of roast pork.
For chicken vegetable soup, stir in 2 cups diced cooked chicken breast in with the milk-flour mixture.
