Beef Goulash Low Salt/Sodium Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup uncooked macaroni
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 6-ounce can no-salt-added tomato paste
3/4 cup water
1 cup low-sodium ketchup
1 small bay leaf
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon basil

Cook macaroni according to package directions, omitting salt. Drain and set aside. Brown ground beef with mushrooms, onion and garlic. Pour off fat. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer gently about 15 minutes. Add cooked, drained macaroni. Simmer 5 minutes. Remove bay leaf and serve. Recipe makes 6 low salt/low sodium servings.
