Toaster French Toast

Ingredients:
2/3 cup skim or 1-percent milk
Egg substitute equal to two eggs (1/4-cup)
Eight slices apple-cinnamon bread or cinnamon-raisin bread
Nonstick cooking spray
Margarine or butter (optional)
Maple-flavored sugar-free syrup (optional)

Directions:
In a shallow dish beat together the milk and eggs.

Dip both sides of bread in beaten mixture. Let stand until well moistened. On a griddle or in a large nonstick skillet sprayed lightly with olive oil if necessary, cook bread in over medium-high heat about two minutes per side or until golden.

Cool on waxed paper. Place in a tightly covered container and store in the refrigerator. To serve, toast in the toaster. Serve with margarine or butter and syrup, if desired.
