Mashed Potatoes

Low Fat Recipe - Fight the Fat!

Creamy mashed potatoes without all the fat thanks to the use of fat free milk and sour cream. Flavored with onion and garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste. Delicious!

Recipe Ingredients

8 medium-size Russet potatoes
1/4 cup fat free milk
1/2 cup fat free sour cream
1/8 cup parsley
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste

Recipe Directions

Mashed Potatoes Boil potatoes until soft, drain, cube and mash in a large bowl. Add all ingredients and mash together until well mixed.

Nutrition note: Potatoes are high in potassium, and foods rich in potassium tend to keep high blood pressure under control. Another added benefit to eating potatoes is feeling fuller longer which can help keep weight under control.

Recipe makes 4 servings Mashed Potatoes.
