Chewy Spice Cookies
Low Fat Recipe - Fight the Fat!

If you enjoy a chewy cookie, this recipe is for you! Unsweetened applesauce cuts the fat while brown sugar, molasses, ginger and cinnamon spice these up so you won't miss it at all.
1 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup molasses
1 egg white
2-1/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Sugar for sprinkling on top of cookies
In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, applesauce, molasses and egg white until well blended.
Combine flour, baking soda, ginger, and cinnamon; stir into the molasses mixture. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2-inches apart onto non-stick baking sheets. Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake Chewy Spice Cookies at 375-degrees for eight to ten minutes.
