Cherry and Blackberry Smoothie
Low Fat Recipe
Frozen sweet dark cherries pureed with frozen blackberry and orange juice for a refreshing, healthful, fruit flavored smoothie.
2/3 cup frozen sweet dark cherries
1/2 cup frozen blackberries
1/3 cup orange juice
Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree.
Cherries are among the list of fruits containing the highest levels of disease-fighting antioxidants. Cherries contain important nutrients such as beta carotene (19 times as much as blueberries or strawberries!) vitamins C and E, potassium, magnesium, iron, fiber and folate.
