Low Carbohydrate Recipe
Tasty Flounder Picatta seasoned with a coating of salt and pepper mixed with protein powder for the coating then sauteed in butter and oil. Lemon, parsley and capers are poured over fish before serving.
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 pounds flounder
4 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest (optional)
1 tablespoons dried parsley
1 tablespoons capers chopped
Protein powder, soy isolate or baking mix
Combine protein powder, salt and pepper in bowl. Dredge fish to coat both sides.
Melt 2 tablespoons butter with oil in skillet. Add fish and cook, turning once, until browned outside and cooked through (5 to 7 minutes). Remove to platter and keep warm. Add remaining butter to skillet and cook over medium high heat until browned, about 1 minute. Stir in lemon juice, zest, parsley and capers and pour over fish.
