Low Carbohydrate Recipe

Crab Jambalaya with crab meat and bacon, onion, celery, green pepper, tomatoes seasoned with Worcestershire, salt and pepper. Bonus Crab Broccoli Casserole recipe included.

Crab meat in Crab Jambalaya


3/4 pound crab
1/2 cup bacon
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1/4 cup celery, chopped
1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
1 cup canned tomatoes
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper

Recipe Directions

Fry bacon until brown. Add veggies and cook until tender. Add tomatoes and seasonings. Cover and simmer 10 minutes to blend flavors. Add crab and heat. Can serve over Faux Rice.

Bonus: Crab Broccoli Casserole

2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup chopped onion
8 oz crab
1/4 teaspoon curry Broccoli
1/4 cup cream
1/4 cup water
2 cups cooked broccoli
1 cup Cheddar
Xanthan gum (thickener)
1/2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Preheat oven 350 degrees.

Grease 1 quart casserole and put cooked broccoli in bottom. Sprinkle with cheese. Melt butter and saute onion. Add flour, curry powder and salt. Gradually stir in cream and water mixture. Cook until thickened (may have to add thickener). Add lemon juice and crab. Pour over broccoli. Bake 30 minutes. Serves 2 at 8 carbs (5 NET carbs).
