Parmesan Bread Sticks

Low Calorie Recipe

By

You use frozen bread dough to make these delicious bread sticks which really speeds up the process. Egg whites make the cheese and garlic powder stick to the dough.

Recipe Ingredients

1/4 cup egg whites, slightly beaten
1 pound frozen bread dough, thawed
1/4 cup fat free Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon garlic powder

Breadsticks

Recipe Directions

Parmesan Cheese Slice Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Prepare baking sheets with cooking spray; set aside. Pour egg whites into a 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle another 9 x 13-inch pan with Parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Divide dough into 16 pieces and shape each piece into a ball. On lightly floured surface, roll each ball into a rope, 12-inches long. Dip rope in egg whites, then into the Parmesan cheese mixture, coating evenly. Gently twist each rope several times to create a spiraled look, then lay bread sticks on prepared baking sheets, 2-inches apart. Bake for 12 minutes, or until crisp and golden brown.
