These baked onions can make a great side dish or a topping for your burgers or anything else you think you would enjoy them on. Mother nature's honey adds just the right touch of sweetness.

Fresh onions for baked onions

Ingredients

6 large onions, sliced
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions

Preheat oven to 425-degrees.

In a saucepan at medium heat, heat honey, butter and salt. Grease a baking dish. Arrange onions and pour honey mixture over them. Bake 45 minutes until onions are tender and golden brown.
