Low Fat Recipe
A delicious Cranberry-Apple Limeade beverage that combines the flavors of lime, cranberry and apple in a tasty juice.
1/4 cup lime juice
2 cans (6-ounce) thawed limeade concentrate, undiluted
1 bottle (48-ounce) cranberry juice cocktail, chilled
1 bottle (32-ounce) apple juice, chilled
Combine all ingredients in a pitcher; stir well, and chill.
Serve over ice.
Because limes are an excellent source of vitamin C, they were fed to British sailors as a scurvy preventative (the fact that was the springboard for the pejorative nickname "limey").
Cranberries and Cranberry Juice have long been regarded as folk treatments for urinary infections. Cranberry is best known in the form of whole fruit, jelled fruit, and juice.
Apples are fat free, saturated fat free, sodium free, cholesterol free and an excellent source of fiber.
