Pork Chops for Asian Grilled Pork Chops

4 large pork chops
1 tablespoon fish sauce
1 tablespoon reduced sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice wine
1-1/2 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
1-1/2 teaspoon dark soy sauce
2 teaspoons spicy barbecue seasoning
2 cloves minced garlic

Recipe Directions

In a bowl, combine fish sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, dark soy sauce, BBQ seasoning, sugar, and garlic.

Place the pork chops in a large zip-lock bag and pour in the marinade. Make sure each pork chop is coated well with the marinade. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

When ready to grill, remove the pork chops from the marinade; toss remaining marinade. Grill as you would any other pork chops.

Recipe Notes

  1. This recipe is also great with veal chops instead of the pork.
  2. The USDA amended its safe food internal temperature for cooked pork from 160 degrees to 145 degrees.

Serving Suggestions

Serve with lime wedges as a garnish and a side dish of your favorite cole slaw.
