Passover Rolls

Healthy Passover Recipe

By

Tender Passover rolls made with Matzah meal, of course and the oil used is peanut oil, a better-for-you oil.

Ingredients:

2 cups Matzah meal
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup water
1/2 cup peanut oil
4 eggs

Passover Rolls

Recipe Directions

Combine matzah meal with salt and sugar. In a medium saucepan, bring oil and water to a boil. Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the matzah meal, mixing well.

Beat in the eggs thoroughly, one at a time (this is where it starts to get sticky). Let the mixture stand for about 15 minutes (can be refrigerated).

With well-oiled hands, shape it into rolls and place on a well-greased cookie sheet (you will have to keep re-oiling your hands). Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 50 minutes or until golden brown.

Recipe yields 12 Passover Rolls.

Seder Plate Passover Tradition
The removal of chametz or leavened food on the first night of Passover is known as 'Bedikat chametz'. Only Matzoh and other special foods made from matzoh are allowed during this happy family holiday.
