These Low Fat Sugar Cookies are SO good considering they are healthier and much lower in fat than the original versions. Olive oil replaces the butter, egg substitute the whole eggs.

Low Fat Sugar Cookies


1 cup sugar
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 egg whites or egg substitute equivilant to 1 egg
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup skim milk

Recipe Directions

Whisk together first four ingrediants.

Stir in remaining ingrediants until thoroughly mixed.

Chill dough at least 1 hour or overnight.

Roll out on floured surface to 1/8th inch thick. Cut with cookie cutters. Place on cookie sheet sprayed lightly with non-fat cooking spray and bake at 375 degrees 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.

Recipe yield may vary depending on dough thickness and the cookie cutter used.

Frost with powdered sugar with milk stirred in until desired consistency and colored sugars or other decorations of choice.
