Winter Fruit Compote Healthy Christmas Recipe
Ingredients:
3 medium cooking apples, cored and sliced
2 medium pears, cored and sliced
1, 16 ounce can cranberry sauce
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
1/2 teaspoon finely shredded lemon peel
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Toasted Angel Food Cake (opptional)

Directions:
In a 3-1/2 quart or 4 quart electric crockery cooker, combine apples, pears, cranberry sauce, water, ginger, lemon peel and cinnamon.
Cover and cook on low heat setting for 3 to 4 hours.
Serve warm.
If desired, spoon over slices of toasted angel food cake.
