White Chip Fruit TartHappy Easter!

A special recipe for a special occasion. A tender butter crust hlds a tasty topping of white chocolate, whipping cream, cream cheese and succulent fruit.

Recipe Ingredients

3/4 cup(1-1/2 sticks) >butter, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
1-2/3 cups (10-oz) white chocolate chips
1/4 cup whipping cream
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
Fruit Topping (recipe follows)
Assorted fresh fruit, sliced

White Chip Fruit Tart

Recipe Directions

Heat oven to 300-degrees.

Beat butter and powdered sugar in small bowl until smooth; blend in flour. Press mixture onto bottom and up side of 12-inch round pizza pan. Flute edge, if necessary.

Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned; cool completely.

Prepare white filling (below); spread on cooled crust. Cover; refrigerate.

Prepare fruit topping (below). Cover; refrigerate assembled tart until just before serving.

White Filling

Place 1-2/3 cups (10-ounce package) white chips and 1/4-cup whipping cream in medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at high (100 percent) 1 to 1-1/2 minutes or until chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred. Beat in one package (8 ounces) softened cream cheese.

Fruit Topping

1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
Assorted fresh fruit, sliced

Stir together sugar and cornstarch in small saucepan; stir in juices. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened; cool. Meanwhile, arrange fruit on top of filling; carefully pour or brush juice mixture over fruit.
