A Common Male Concern
Sexual Health
ED is not a disease that affects just few men; according to the Mayo Clinic, up to 30 million men suffer from erectile dysfunction at some time in their lives. If you're one of them, knowing you're not alone can be a big help in itself.
More important however, is knowing there is help.
Erectile dysfunction can be a barometer of a man's overall health because it can also be heavily associated with heart disease and/or diabetes. Oftentimes, ED is associated with these conditions not only because of the health issues that they cause, but because of conflictions with the medications prescribed to treat the condition.
So, what are the treatment options for men with ED, and what are patients to do if existing conditions and medications preclude them from taking common oral medications for their erectile dysfunction?
Oral Medications
These diseases pose health risks to circulation, hormones and the nervous system. This is the reason it is not a good idea for men with heart disease or diabetes to treat their ED with oral medication. Oral treatments can affect the entire body and potentially produce dangerous side effects if you suffer from one of these two medical conditions. These side effects range from disruption of blood flow to important organs to vision problems and hearing loss.
As a result, oral prescription medications for ED aren't always safe. Furthermore, even when they are safe, Viagra, for example, is found to be ineffective 40 percent of the time in men with diabetes (as compared to up to 85 percent effective for the general population).
Penile Implant Surgery
A non-medication option is penile implant surgery, which comes with its own set of risks. Basically, penile implant surgery is a procedure that implants a mechanical device allowing the patient to literally have an erection on demand. Risks include infection, damage to surrounding tissues and nerves, and even deathly reactions to anesthesia.
But this is not where the story ends. There are alternatives that fill the gap between convenient oral medications and invasive surgery. All men, no matter what their overall health conditions, can and should have a healthy sex life because a healthy sex life means an overall healthier you.
The Traction Device
There is another treatment option that is personalized and safe, a traction device. They take some commitment and dedication but they work.
Note that penile traction devices are often marketed exclusively as a 'penis enlargement device'; however, these penile traction devices have a great number of understated benefits. Patients of penile traction therapy experience:
- Increased blood flow through the penis leading to increased sexual appetite
- Muscularly deveoped penises which can lead to harder and stronger erections
- Increased sexual stamina
Penis enlargement traction devices do work. If you suffer from ED, you don't have to suffer in silence, or suffer alone. With a quality traction device and treatment, men of all ages and health conditions can have a healthy sex life.
There is a great deal of consumer confusion around ED treatments and options today, but there is little confusion or doubt that scores of men have found success with a penis traction device. Why not be one of them?
