Apricot Chocolate Bread

Whole Grain Recipe

Dried apricots and milk lend moisture to this Apricot Chocolate Bread. Cocoa gives it a nice chocolate flavor. Add pecans for a finishing crunch.

Recipe Ingredients

9 ounces cut up dried apricots
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Recipe Directions

Mix first 5 ingredients in a large bowl.

Stir in the remaining ingredients until just moistened.

Pour into greased loaf pan and bake for 50 to 60 minutes in a pre-heated 350 degree oven.

Cool for 10 minutes and remove from pan.
