Whole Grain Recipe
This is a delicious and pretty basic apple quick bread seasoned with the best apple go-withs: Vanilla and cinnamon. Nuts add a nice crunch.
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup oil
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all purpose flour
2 cups chopped peeled apple
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup nuts
Grease 2 loaf pans.
In a large bowl beat together the sugar, oil and eggs.
In a separate bowl sift together the flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon.
Add the dry ingredients to the sugar mixture. Add the vanilla, apples, and nuts.
Pour the batter into the prepared pans. Bake in a 325 degree over for 1 hour.
