Speed-up Grilling Time for Chicken

  • Nothing takes as long to grill as chicken. To speed up the process, spread your chicken pieces in a single layer on a microwave-safe plate and microwave chicken for at least six minutes on medium-high heat, or until the chicken meat just begins to turn white. Brush with barbecue sauce and place on the grill.
  • There are several ways to keep your chicken moist when grilling. One way is to make a pouch using aluminum foil. If desired, place your favorite vegetables inside the pouch with the chicken with one or two ice cubes. The ice cubes will create a "steam" effect and keep the chicken moist.
  • Use a marinade and marinade your chicken for at least one-half hour. Boost the marinade flavor by pricking the chicken while it is in the marinade. To do this, simply take a fork and poke it into the chicken in several places. This will infuse the marinade deeper into the chicken.
