Cooking tips for the caring cook.
- As your newly made waffles are removed from the waffle iron, place them in an oven-safe pan and into an oven preheated to about 140 degrees.
- Place a moist towel over the waffles to keep them from drying out in the oven.
For a Crowd
If you are entertaining a very large crowd, use the following method instead:
- Preheat your oven to 275 degrees. Place cooked waffles onto a baking dish and place in the oven to keep warm. Use wax or parchment paper to keep layers from sticking to each other.
For One or Two
- If you're just looking to warm up one or two waffles, a quick zap in your microwave for 15 to 20 seconds will suffice. If you use this pratice and eat your waffles with syrup, it's quite good at this point to add the syrup atop before placing your waffle(s) into the microwave. Warming the syrup along with the waffle brings out more of the syrup's flavor.
