Make Ahead Bacon Bits

  • When time allows, cook and crumble a package of bacon and then freeze. Bacon bits are outstanding as a garnish for or as an ingredient in salads, omelets, quiches, soups, pizza topping, dips, snacks, casseroles and spreads. Home made bacon bits are much better than store-bought!
  • Freeze for later use by placing the bacon bits in a single layer on a cooking sheet. Once they are frozen, place them in a freezer zip lock bag and freeze.
