Root Beer I

Ingredients:
1 gallon container
1/2 cup sugar, add 1/4 to bottle of root beer extract, dissolved
2 teaspoons yeast in 3/4-cup lukewarm water

Directions:
Stir sugar and extract in water (lukewarm) to melt sugar add yeast and water to the sugar. Mix, pour into gallon jug, and fill with lukewarm water. Let set uncapped for seven to eight hours. Then put cap on, and put in refrigerator for 24 hours.

Root Beer II

Ingredients:
2 cups white sugar
1 gallon lukewarm water
1 teaspoon yeast
5 teaspoon root beer extract

Directions:
Use some warm water to dissolve yeast; add rest of ingredients and set in sun four hours. Ready to drink next day.

Root Beer III

Ingredients:
1 teaspoon dry yeast
1/2 cup water, warm
2 cups granulated sugar
1 quart hot water
4 teaspoons root beer extract


Directions:
Dissolve yeast in 1/2-cup warm water. Dissolve sugar in 1-quart hot water. Mix together dissolved yeast, sugar and root beer extract in gallon jar. Fill jar with warm water and stir until all ingredients are well combined. Cover jar. Set in warm sun for four hours. The root beer will be ready to drink the next day. Chill before serving.
