Sugar Free Strawberry Pie Recipe
Diabetic Friendly Recipe
With the sweet, succulent taste of strawberries you won't miss the sugar in this delicious sugar free strawberry pie.
1 1/2 cups water
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 package ( 0.3 ounce) strawberry sugar-free gelatin
4 packets sugar substitute (such as Steviva)
3 cups sliced fresh strawberries
1 9-inch baked pie shell, cooled
>Cool Whip Lite
Combine water and cornstarch in medium saucepan; stir well.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly; cook 1 minute. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
Add gelatin and sugar substitute, stirring well. Gently stir in strawberries, and pour into crust.
Cover and chill at least 3 hours. Cover with Cool Whip and serve.
Recipe makes 8 servings.
Strawberry Pie Recipe Tip
When making strawberry pie, always wash and then hull the berries. Then be sure to let them drain upside-down on a paper towel for about 30 minutes. This eliminates excess moisture, helping to prevent a soggy pie.
