Maple Banana Blast Recipe
Diabetic Friendly Recipe
Maple Banana Blast contains bananas broken in half and partially frozen. Then they are placed into a blender with sweetener, maple syrup, skim milk, yogurt, vanilla extract and ice cubes. Blend and enjoy.
4 bananas, slightly brown speckled
1/3 cup measurable sweetener (such as Steviv
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup skim milk
1/3 cup yogurt, plain, non fat
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, pure
2 cups small ice cubes
Equipment: 5 to 6 cup blender
Break bananas in half and freeze for 20 minutes or until frozen. Add all ingredients to blender. Blender will be full. Mix on low speed for 10 seconds. Remove lid, stir with wooden spoon. Mix on medium speed for 15 seconds, remove lid and stir again. Mix on high speed for 15-20 seconds or until smooth. Pour into glasses. Serve immediately.
Mixing times will vary depending on frozen state of fruit. Serving size and amount can slightly vary depending on size of bananas.
You can use store-bought sugar free maple syrup instead, but this will not taste nearly as good as using the pure maple syrup recommended.
