Dried Fruit Salad woth pitted prunes with dried apricots, apple juice, a cinnamon stick, whole cloves, banana, orange, chopped apple smothered in tangy orange juice, sugar free orange marmalade and chopped pecans.

Mixed Dried Fruit for Dried Fruit Salad

Recipe Ingredients

8 pitted prunes
1/4 cup dried apricots
1 cup apple juice
1 4-inch cinnamon stick
1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
1 banana, peeled and sliced
1 large orange, peeled, sectioned, and cut bite-size
1 apple, cored and chopped
1/2 cup orange juice
3 tablespoons sugar free orange marmalade (or eliminate if not available)
1/4 cup chopped pecans

Recipe Directions

Combine prunes, apricots, apple juice, 4-inch cinnamon sticks, and cloves in saucepan. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and let soak overnight in refrigerator.

Remove the dried fruit and divide the prunes, apricots, banana, orange and apple among 4 dishes. Strain apple juice and add orange juice and orange marmalade. Mix together and pour over fruit. Top with chopped pecans.

Recipe Note

Smucker's makes a great sugar free orange marmalade. It is sweetened with Splenda.Delicious on warm toast, frozen yogurt, pancakes, etc. And best of all, there are 80 percent fewer calories than regular Smucker's Marmalade.
