Rice Krispie Bars Recipe
Gluten Free Recipe
The long standing, old fashioned, basic rice krispie bars made gluten free with gluten free crispy rice cereal.
5 cups gluten free rice crispy cereal
1 package (10-ounces) large gluten free marshmallows or 4-cups miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup butter or margarine
Place butter in 3-quart casserole dish.
Place in microwave oven and melt one minute.
Add marshmallows, cover and cook two to three minutes.
Remove from oven and stir until butter is melted and marshmallows are well blended.
Add cereal and stir until well coated. Press warm mixture evenly and firmly into a lightly buttered 8 x 12-inch pan. Cut into squares when cool.
Chocolate Dot Variation
After cereal has been stirred into marshmallow mixture, quickly stir in one 6-ounce package semi-sweet chocolate pieces. Recommended chocolate chips: Enjoy Life Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Chips -- 10 oz Each / Pack of 2.
