Gluten Free Recipe

If you cannot eat oats, this Quinoa and Porridge is a delicious alternative to classical porridge. This recipe is gluten and dairy free.

Recipe Ingredients

1/2 cup quinoa flakes
1/2 cuprolled brown rice flakes
2 tablespoonssultanas
2 tablespoonscurrants
1 tablespoonlinseeds (flax seeds)
Brown sugar, to serve
Soy or rice milk, to serve

Recipe Directions

Quinoa and Porridge

Combine quinoa, rice flakes, sultanas, currants, linseeds and 2 cups (16 fluid oz) water in a medium saucepan. Bring to the boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and cook, covered, stirring often, for 3 minutes or until mixture reaches a porridge consistency.

Spoon into serving bowls and sprinkle with a little brown sugar. Serve with the milk.

Recipe Note

Porridge is best made close to serving.
