Bon Bon Jovi Candy
This is similar to a favorite candy bar. Ingredients consist of sugar, cocoa powder, evaporated milk, margarine, vanilla, oats and shredded coconut. Very healthy!
Recipe Ingredients
2 cups sugar
6 tablespoons non-sweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup 2 percent evaporated milk
1/3 cup non-hydrogenated margarine
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups quick cooking oats
1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
Recipe Directions
In medium saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, evaporated milk and margarine. Cook and stir over medium-high heat until mixture comes to a boil. Boil for one minute stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla. Add rolled oats and coconut and mix well. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto a cookie sheet lined with wax paper.
Refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes to one hour.
Store Bon Bon's in an airtight container in refrigerator or at room temperature. Recipe makes 35 candies
