Ingredients:
4 cups sugar 1 cup water 1 cup light corn syrup Five drops of red food coloring 3/4 teaspoon oil of cinnamon Directions: Combine sugar, water and syrup in a large Dutch oven. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Stir in food coloring. Contine to cook, without stirring, until mixture reaces hard crack stage (300-degrees). Remove from heat and stir on oil of cinnamon. Working rapidly, spread mixture onto an oiled 15-by10-by1-inch jellyroll pan. Let cool; break into pieces. Note:: Oil of cinnamon may be purchased at drug stores. |
