Gyro Burger Recipe

Just plain healthy recipe...

Meatless burgers for the gyros, which are nutrient dense. These gyro burgers are actually made in whole wheat pita breads. The shredded lettuce adds a nice crunch.

Recipe Ingredients

4 meatless burgers
1/2 cup fat free sour cream
1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
4 foldable whole wheat pita breads
2 plum tomatoes, sliced
1 cup shredded lettuce
1/4 of a medium cucumber; peeled and chopped (about 1/2 cup)
1/4 cup reduced fat Feta cheese

Recipe Directions

Whole Wheat Pita Break Pockets for Gyro Burgers

Grill burgers as directed on package.

Meanwhile, mix sour cream and garlic until well blended.

Cover whole wheat pita breads with tomatoes, lettuce and cucumber; drizzle with sour cream sauce.

Top each with 1 burger; cut in half and add feta cheese.
