Nonstick vegetable spray
1 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup light sour cream
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1 tablespoon sugar

Recipe Directions

Tart fresh cherries

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine cherries with sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Simmer 1 minute, or until mixture thickens. Remove from heat and add almond extract. Mix thoroughly.

Transfer cherry mixture to a 7x11 inch baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Set aside.

Sift together next 5 ingredients in a food processor or a bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients, except remaining sugar. Blend well. Spread batter evenly over cherries. Sprinkle with remaining sugar. Bake 30 minutes, until top is golden and mixture is bubbling.
