Orange Yogurt Fresh Fruit Dip uses Yogurt with honey, orange peel, fresh oranges, an apple and a banana to create a most healthful treat. This is an official 5 a Day recipe, and provides four people with one serving of fruit each!

Fresh Fruits for Orange Yogurt Fresh Fruit Dip

Recipe Ingredients

1 8-oz. carton low fat plain yogurt
2 tablespoons honey
Grated peel of 1/2 orange
2 oranges, peeled, segmented
1 apple unpeeled, sliced*
1 banana, peeled, cut into chunks

Recipe Directions

In small bowl, combine yogurt, honey, and orange peel. Serve as a dip with oranges, apple and banana.

*Sprinkle cut apple and banana with a small amount of orange or lemon juice to prevent fruit from darkening.

Extra: Fresh Fruit Topping

You eliminate a lot of sugar and fat making this topping than other traditional syrups, plus you get one serving of fruit!

Fresh berries 1/2 cup berries (strawberries, blueberries or other favorite berry)

Take one-half cup of strawberries, blueberries or any other fruit that you enjoy and puree in a blender with a touch of water to make syrup. Use in place of sugary syrups on waffles, pancakes, French toast, low/non-fat ice cream, frozen yogurt, etc.

Bonus: Citrus Dressing

For a sparkling dressing to pour over your next fruit salad mix one-quarter cup orange juice with 1 teaspoon lime juice, one-quarter teaspoon lime zest and 2 teaspoons chopped fresh mint leaves.
